Despite the growing number of COVID-19 cases, teachers are reporting on-site
Despite the growing number of COVID-19 cases, teachers from the Division of General Santos City are reporting on-site (in school) as part of the skeleton workforce who will perform essential services related to the preparation of school opening and other administrative support services with the proper observance of physical distancing and other minimum health standards.

Fifty (50) percent of the teachers are reporting on-site and the remaining force works at home. Teachers on-site are working hand-in-hand for module reproduction as preparation for the upcoming school opening on 24 August 2020.

Part of the preparation are classroom readiness and ensuring that safety protocols are in place for the implementation of face-to-face learning modality.

Teachers’ work-at-home activities include tagging of pupils, encoding pupils enrollment form for consolidation, RPMS Portfolio making, attending webinars, and other related activities.
Some teachers were also tasked to be writers for Self Learning Modules (SLMs), others are trained as broadcasters for the radio modality and others are working for their reports as coordinators in a specific assignment.
Indeed, teachers are showing work flexibility and doing their commitment to continue the education of young children even in crisis situations like the COVID-19 pandemic.
