DepEd proposes August 22 for the opening of the next school year 2022-2023.
DepEd proposes opening classes for the school year 2022-2023 on August 22, 2022 until July 7, 2023, still blended learning but with more face-to-face classes.
Based on the proposed Department of Education (DepEd) School Calendar for the next school year (SY) 2022-2023, the first day of classes will formally start on August 22, 2022 (Monday), and shall end on July 7, 2023 (Friday).
There shall be a total of 215 class days in the proposed school calendar, 11 weeks per quarter.
These are the proposed number of class days per month.
Quarter 1- August 22 – November 4, 2022
Quarter 2- November 7 – February 3, 2022
Quarter 3- February 13 – April 28, 2022
Quarter 4- May 2 – July 7, 2022
Saturday will no longer be included as class days if the proposed school calendar will be approved.
