The Department of Education ensure to provide ‘Most Essential Competencies’ to be used this School Year 2020-2021.
Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELCs) shall serve as primary reference of all schools, Schools Divisions and Regional Offices in determining and implementing learning delivery approaches that are suited to the local context and diversity of learners, while adapting to the challenges caused by COVID-19.
Schools need not to create a new list of learning competencies for the different learning areas since these are already available through the MELCs.
